Cocopeat based hydroponics farming is one of the most popular hydroponics technique for commercial farming technique in India. It is based suited to grow variety of fruity vegetables and flower plants like Cherry tomatoes, bellperpper, rose, strawberry, ginger etc. The size of trough depends on the plant variety. The system can be non recirculating or recirculating. Drip irrigation and underground plumbing is used for retigation. The farm can have seedling area, germination area depending on the size of the farm and avaibility of local nurseries. If farm is equal to or bigger than 2000 Sq.Mtr. automated dosing system can reduce labour cost and provide ease of maintenance.

Bato bucket based commercial hydroponics farm

For vining and fruiting crop production Farmvary recommends the Dutch or Bato Bucket System. Bato Buckets are UV resistant, strong plastic containers that can be used repeatedly year after year.  This bucket offers quality, as well as security when growing high value crops. The Buckets are designed with a small reservoir to avoid drowning or starving and the unique siphoning elbow ensures that your plant’s will only be submerged in the freshest of nutrient solution. These buckets are typically irrigated with drip emitters that slowly and effectively deliver the perfect amount of nutrient solution directly to your plant’s roots. Cocopeat, perlite and extended clayballs can be used as growing media. Buckets and media allow higher oxygen exchange, plant root support and ease of nutrient delivery. The whole system can be automated with pumps and nutrient dosing system.
